  • Managed to survive the first half of the year 2008 and it's time for home visit again.  Finally after 2 and 1/2 years of moving to HK I can go home to celebrate my birthday with my siblings for the first time.  For the last two years, time after time I have promised them that I would go home to celebrate our birthday today like we always do but every time I break my promise because of the work circumstances I am unable to return.  Still have 7 days to go before my dream come true.

Packed one of the suitcases last night and it was already 21-23kg!  I have only put 2 pairs of my jeans, 2 t-shirts, Mr Chu's jeans, a pair of his shorts, his underwear, 3 t-shirts, the rest of the things are not ours!  From packing I realised most of the things that we would be carrying belongs to my sister and her things range from the smallest to the most biggest and heaviest taking up all the space and weight.  Why, why, why my little sis that you always have so much to buy?!?  I guess its a female thing that there is never enough of cosmetics, clothes. . .well to simply say. ..never fed up with the rush of happiness when you open new brought products!

Lately work have been boring me to sleep.  Not that I have less work to do but it just seems that I get more and more tired at work and tend to fall asleep much more earlier than before and also longer than before.  I don't know if since having the second monitor tires my eyes out quicker or I'm simply bored with my job and the co.

Move on or not to move on. . .guess this is a question that I need to but some thought into during my holidays. . .

  • Baby Triple has been unwell since Saturday afternoon.  The poor little chap has been coughing non-stop.  Took him to the vets yesterday morning as the coughs were lasting longer and more regularly making me and the family worried sick so me and Chu took him to the vets in Sai Kung.  The vet said it could be rabies but she did say “MAYBE” a few times and said not to worry because he doesn’t have a fever and his chest seems to be very clear, it could just be a little cough.  But if he begins to not eat or not play etc then take him back for another check up.   He seemed to be very tired yesterday morning, maybe from no sleep on Saturday night.  He was quite and didn’t make a noise when we put him in his travel bag going to the vets, or wanted to run around at the pet shop and slept throughout the time me and Chu had lunch at the café.  Although hes coughing non-stop he still likes to run round the house whenever he gets to come out of his cage.  Yesterday was a big challenge trying to get him to take his medicine, it took 3 of us to feed him the medicine but still failed!  By night time after consulting from the pet shop owners in the village they taught us to stuff the medicine in the cheese sausages and feed him.  It worked!  He must have thought he did something right and was getting a big treat.  Well he did do something right but this was after taking the medicine, he was happily running around in the living room when suddenly he ran back to his cage found a nice spot and did his smelly business at the right place on the nappy mats!  GOOD BOY TRIPLE.  But by night he was very naughty.  He wouldn’t go to sleep and just wanted to play with me and Chu.  We put him back in the cage and ignored him and he was making noises all night only stopping to catch a breath or a drink in between.  He really started opening up his little mouth and barked near to 6am making me get up and run out to him before he wakes the whole house up.   Fed him his medicine again so he has time to digest it and do his smelly before I go to work.  After about 15mins I put him back in his cage and he didn’t make a sound for about 5-10mins until he started to bark again.  I went out to see him and found he did a big smelly, so had to clean him up and pick them up.  Ewww, nice thing to do first thing in the morning.  Afterwards he wouldn’t go back to his cage so I had to take him to my room.  I had to be sitting up on my bed while the cheeky little thing fell asleep on my arms!  When the time got to 7.30am I had to quickly go for a shower and left him in the room with Chu.  When I came out and got changed in my work clothes I put my nighties on the bed.  He jumped up from the sofa bed and slept in between my t-shirt and bottoms, not making any noise at all and going to sleep while I continue getting ready for work.  Cheeky or what?  I took some photos while he was sleeping using Chu’s phone.  Would post them once I have got them back from him.

    Hope Triple gets well soon.

  • Been quite busy since the last post as there has been a new member in the family.  We have finally given him a name, his name’s “Triple”.  Triple is a 3 months old Shih Tzu, a little boy.  Isn’t he cute?!?!

The new member has been keeping everyone in the family busy as he needs attention all the time and when he doesn’t get it he raise his voice and barks loudly.  Since bringing him home last Sunday 23rd, I have been waking up every morning at 6ish to feed him as since he is a little baby still he needs to be fed 2-3 times a day.  Strangely he hasn’t been sleeping as much as he should have.  I was told by the people at the pet shop that he would be sleeping most of the time as he is a baby just like human babies he would need plenty of time to sleep.  But the little nosey thing have been monitoring what everyone is doing around the house from its little cage.  At times my parents would take him out of the cage to hold him and give him little treats.  Last night he got his first time of freedom running round the house freely as he likes when the maid left the house to go to the house next door to sleep.  He ran around the living room exploring all corners and even ran to the bedroom when he heard me and mum talking in there.  Mum managed to teach him the ‘hand hand’ thing in the last coupon of days and he won himself a little treat last night when I told him to give me hand and he put his little left paw on my hand.

For the first two days I kept on questioning myself if I had did the right thing bringing him home as every morning when I wake up and he sees me getting ready for work he would start barking to get my attention even after I have given him his first meal of the day.  He seems to wants to play straight after having his meal and his barking just wakes everyone else up.  I started to feel that I was giving my family a lot of trouble especially he doesn’t do his morning ‘business’ after he has had his full breakfast.  For the last two days he seems to only do it after I have left the house leaving the dirty work for my dad.  So grateful that unlike mum my daddy doesn’t mind picking up the little ones brown drops.  This weekend the weather isn’t so good and plus now that he is here I have to spend some time to teach him how to do his business properly at the right place.

Although I enjoy being able to pick him up with just one hand I just can’t wait till he grows up a little and taking him out for walks when I can in the evenings and over the weekends when he has had all three of his injections.  So far the pet shop has only taken him to the vets to get the first injection and be micro-chipped, he would need his second injection next month before 21st April and then the third and final one before the 21st May.  Then he would be able to play with other dogs and go out for walks.  Luckily I have around 2-3 weeks before I go home to UK for 2 weeks before leaving him in someone else’s care, I still get the chance to be the first to take him out on his first outing.

What I really didn’t think about when I first decided to get Triple was that I would have to be spending much less time going out with my Chu to dinner during weekdays and before Triple knows how to do his business at the right place and not treading all over it when he is excited jumping around his cage, we would be spending weekends at home too.  So sorry Chu, I didn’t consider about the amount of time we would have less seeing each other especially when you would maybe going to work in Macau in about 2 months.  I only thought that while Chu has gone working I still had Triple to keep me company so I wouldn’t feel lonely and depressed so much.  This time its me who’s selfish, so sorry.

  • Haven't done much today at work as have been really tired so was working very slow.  Will be taking my parents tonight to watch 江山美人 An Empress And The Warriors at Palace APM in Kwun Tong.  Will be meeting them at Kwun Tong MTR station and go for dinner first before our 9.05pm show.

Will be having a BBQ with the girls tomorrow so after my facial appointment at 11.30am I will have to go to the market and buy the food etc.  Haven't seen the girls for some time so hopefully tomorrow will be a no-rain day so at least we can have a comfy BBQ to catch up some times.  Disappointed to hear that one friend isn't going to come.  She kind of said she wasn't coming at the last minute which made the disappointment on her grew.  She was the second person to say she was coming and the one that was most excited about the whole event but then she is the one to pull out too.

Last time I will organise anything!
